History of creation, goals and objectives
The Public Organization "Ukrainian Association of Existential Psychology and Psychotherapy" is a voluntary non-profit public organization that operates in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, current legislation and its Charter. The Association was created in 2016. The Association operates on the principles of voluntariness, self-government, free choice of territory of activity, equality before the law, lack of property interest of their members (participants), transparency, openness and publicity. The organization provides consulting, information, economic, psychological, and social assistance. The organization's activities extend to the entire territory of Ukraine. The main priorities of the Association are to unite the efforts of its members in helping to achieve the goals of the Association.
The purpose of the Association is to promote the development of existential psychology and psychotherapy in Ukraine and protect the common interests of the Association members
The direction of the Association's activities is the provision of free advisory, informational, economic, psychological, and social assistance; promoting the comprehensive development of youth; creating conditions for the development of existential psychology and psychotherapy in the Odessa region and Ukraine; carrying out educational and charitable activities within the scope of their tasks.
Association objectives:
- Promoting scientific developments and research in the field of existential psychology and psychotherapy, development of specific types of psychotherapeutic assistance
- Representing the interests of association members in state authorities, local governments, public and scientific associations both in Ukraine and abroad
- Study and use of foreign experience, exchange of delegations, promoting the dissemination of advanced both foreign and domestic experience in the field of existential psychology and psychotherapy
- Conducting conferences, seminars, symposiums, and other events promoting the development and popularization of existential psychology and psychotherapy
- Promoting the practical implementation of information, educational, training and training programs and projects aimed at improving the quality of life of people
- Promoting the development of education and culture, educational activities, participation in programs related to increasing the social and economic status of association members
- Promoting professional development of association members
- Identifying, studying and ensuring the implementation of useful initiatives of citizens and legal entities that contribute to the development of existential psychology and psychotherapy in Ukraine
- Taking part in the development and implementation of training programs for training specialists in the field of existential counseling and psychotherapy and conducting events to improve the qualifications of specialists in the field of pedagogy, psychology, psychotherapy and social work
- Providing its members with the necessary types of information, advisory and other services. Conducting scientific social research in the field of existential psychology and psychotherapy; providing advice and assistance in the field of counseling and psychotherapy to its members.
- Promoting the creation of translations, publications, information and educational literature devoted to prevention, therapy and psychological assistance in the direction of existential psychology and psychotherapy, publication of publications, collections, translations.
- Establishing international relations with similar foreign organizations.
- Promotion of international information exchange of scientific and practical information. Founding or joining international public (non-governmental) organizations, international unions, associations, supporting direct international contacts and connections
- Attracting funds from foreign and domestic sponsors to support initiatives in the field of existential psychology and psychotherapy; accumulation of funds and other income from various sources of financing in order to implement statutory objectives
- Taking part in international events in accordance with current legislation and international treaties of Ukraine. Independently, as well as together with other domestic and foreign individuals and legal entities, holding seminars, symposiums, conferences.
